Ahoi all, currently broadcasting from cool foggy North Sea. After an adventurous 6 hour drive up here, we arrived to our sweet little cabin. The sun was hidden behind a thick layer of fog as we discovered every little corner of the cabin. However, to our surpirse, there was no internet! It is horrible to be dependent upon technology. I was feeling withdrawal at the sight of "no wifi available" on my computer screen. How would I check the weather? wonder through inspiration images? think up what to make for dinner? or find entertaining ideas for the kids? We had requested internet. They had promised wifi and excellent speeds. But there we were, surrounded by fog, and no connection to the world.
To pass the internetless time, we lite the fireplace, watched movies, and of course built a castle
However, after a few finger twitching days we were able to move to a nicer cabin bursting with wireless frequencies. I could breathe....but still I found my need for internet quite disturbing. Eitherway, Yesterday we had for the first time, a nice and sunny and windless day. What a wonderful gift for Basti´s 4th birthday. We were able to walk down to the beach with complete feeling of our extremities and study the beautiful fishing boats.
