What you would see if you looked through the studio window? Me in a white fluffy robe, hair unkempt, with a crying screaming one year old dealing with the effects of being vaccinated....the soundtrack to my life...
Either way, I am currently sporting some nicely knitted green socks. I love to wear colorful socks. They almost never match what I am wearing. I think I might just be a hipster....I was going against fashion way back when I was cutting my hair short and dying it black, while all the girls in school were dying their hair blonde and growing it out...lol. I was known as the witch, Lol.
As you recall I told you about the upcoming event here in the village that I drew the poster for. Today I ventured out along the main street to delivery flyers. It was an interesting walk, where I was able to appreciate the details of peoples houses and lives. There was beautiful masonry work, blooming orchids, and occationally the unusual mailbox. The ones where you do not know how to open it. So you stand there like an unevolved idiot trying to figure out how to open this metal contraption only to finally realize all you had to do was pull it open....I needed more coffee.
Nevertheless, my journey was abruptly cut short when little miss music box decided to play the life soundtrack.
On another note. This idea was intended for Illustration Friday. However, I never got the chance to actually finish it on time...Yet another thing to my to do list.
I cannot remember the last time I sat infront of this computer, up here and typed a few words. I have been occupied with long mothering hours or cleaning house, feeding the littles, entertaining their inquisitive hands, and crocheting little these and thats for the up and comong creative fair we will be having here in town. The purpose is to raise money for our kindergarten that burnt down last year on Christmas eve. The Kindergarten has been using a room in the elementary school and construction has not been able to start up yet. Things have not been approved, papers have yet to be signed, and the children are busting for some room.
It has been quite time consuming since I had to come up with something that is interactive. I decided that I could teach the older kids how to embroider. At first I thought they could embroider faces of bunnies, bears, cats. However, having to embroider in an already stuffed creature can be quite difficult.
So after much searching I made a very simple egg cozy.
With this simple design, the kids are able to embroider whatever they would like. In addition, I have to make finised items to sell, and I am illustrating the poster for the event. So I have had little to no time for pretty much anything else.
The chaos will change to a more chirstmassy one nov. 24.
Within this cyber world I am known as Wooni, a creator of beasts, a lover of elephants.
