There is such a joy at receiving letters, especially post cards. There is just an added sweetness because of their beautiful pictures or illustrations. Not only do you get to hear from a loved one you also get a glimpse of where they were, or a little thought they might have had that day.
These were given to me by a close friend when he went to his homeland, Morocco.
I have always enjoyed buying postcards whenever I travel. I use them not only to greet family or friends, but also I use them as bookmarks. I prefer their size, sturdiness and the fact that whenever I open my book I am instantly reminded of something pleasant. They are a nice smile inducer, and its always good to smile, good for the soul.
So as my infatuation continues everyday as it has for several years now, I thought why not make postcards out of cloth. Of course I thought it would be nice to send one to my mother and grandmother, but the postal service to Colombia is any but reliable. And when something finally arrives to Bogota months have passed. So, I still decided to make one, maybe for her birthday, and since I am still obsessed with little houses my first is part of my house study.
I have the idea of offering these to anyone who would like one. You could choose ifferent designs and have your own personalized embroidered message. I think these would be a real keepsake. What do you think?
So I have added a coming soon of these to my shop in addition to the bunnies I made for the littles. I have many pregnant friends and have had them in mind since Sarah has been quite fond of her little bunny.
oh so sweet and i can see that she is happy.
