Today was such a beautiful day, the sun was shinning, children were playing outside, and I really had a sense that spring is approaching. The idea of spring excites me. To see splashes of color and to feel the warm sun on my face is a relief. This winter has been odd, and the lack of sun has (and always does) taken its toll. I only realized how much I need the sun today when I felt mor energetic, and happier.
So with the changing of seasons I crocheted Lucy's Happy Flower. It was a lot of fun, and quite easy, and just to see if I could I added a last row to the flower. One, to see if I could do it without messing it up, and two because I did not like the color I had chosen as the final row.
A happy little flower on a drawn on table.
With the flower completed I searched Ravelry for ideas, future projects and found a cute crochet bag, but Pierrot. I had never crochet anything using a diagram and that plus the fact that it was in Japanese was a bit frightening. However, I tried and to my surpise succeded on the first try.
It is amazing what a bit of yarn, some sun and a hook can bring about...a moment of relaxation and a sense of self.
great job on the flower. i love it. i had downloaded it from 'Attic24' when she posted the tutorial the other day...for a future time. i also like the bag on Ravelry. i used to get Magic Crochet magazine years ago and they had diagrams for all the patterns and i got to like the diagram better than the written instructions.

Hi Wooni, I´m glad, that I can comment on your new blog. It wasn´t possible for me on the old one. Remember, we met in Jude´s class? I followed your blog during the hard times and I´m glad that your have found a new beginning.
crocheting for me is very calming, I made a big blanket in winter two years ago - a hard time for me.
Wish you all the best.

Doris, I am glad to "see" you here. Thank you for your support. It means the world to me. Crochet is very calming, maybe that's why I have been focusing on it so much.

Deanna, I love Lucy's work and blog. And now I am very comfortable with diagrams now. They are actually easier to follow.
